Helpful Information
IMC offers many different varieties of candles,
both electric and battery. Bases come in
brass, pewter, and antique bronze. Bases
are metal, plastic or mesaflex, a compound
plastic which is made with steel fiber and
has more weight than the cheaper window candles
available.
POWER:
Electric candles feature a cool burning electric
bulb which is easier on the touch and are
plugged in with an on/off switch. Some are
also available with light sensors or timers.
Battery candles feature the double bright
LED bulb which lasts upwards of 1500 hrs
on 2 AA batteries.
Light sensor candles are designed to go on
at dusk and go off at dawn. They will work
in any dark space.
Timer candles will go on for 6 hours and
then off for 18 hours, repeating daily. To
activate them, you screw in the bulb and
then they will turn on for 6 hours, off for
18.
Steady burning stays on when turned on.
MATERIALS:
Most IMC candles are made of styrene, which
is a plastic. Some have metal bases, which
makes them much more expensive but adds value
as a home decor or gift item. There are also
some that are mesaflex, which is a combination
material which is stronger and heavier than
regular plastic but less expensive than metal.
All electric candles are UL aproved. Replacement
bulbs are available for both electric and
LED candles.
PACKAGING:
Some IMC candles come boxed. The rest come
in a molded plastic package as pictured.
